  1. i always wanted to be a big 8 jock. i trained my voice from childhood to be one. i think i could cut the mustard to be one. im 54 years old now and i could still sound like a big 8 jock. i thought it would be the coolest job in the world. i met a lady when i was still young and i went to work at general motors instead. what a tragedy. i could get hired now if the station went back to the old big 8 format. i listen to charlie o brien on ckww all the time. one of the big 8 jocks from the past. he uses his natural voice now but if i entered the stage i would sound like a big 8 jock. i still parody the big 8 jock imitations. its something thats in me and will always be a part of me. im not with my wife now. i have time. im retired from gm. if the radio station needs me to be them for them, ill be there. i would clean toilets in the washroom for FREE just to work in the cklw shrine. the big 8 cklw sends chills down my spine to hear those call letters. if you think you have a place for me call me at (519) 254 5276. ill be a big 8 jock until i die. edward busko

  2. To leave the country for the Land of the Big 8 on the dial. I was a WIXY School

Morrow etc. got the radio itch in Fremont Oh halfway between Detroit

Cleveland to now living in Las Vegas 30 plus years.

  3. I miss the days of creative broadcasting not every station sounding the same. I like that the network owned stations can keep their original calls Wabc kabc Always wondered why KCBS radio 740 is in The Bay Area. Also that NBC not only didn’t have a network presence in LA save KFI but didn’t own the stimulating talk station. Also that KNBR had the NBC distinction!
