This is a great ad. It is called ‘Soda Fountain’ and was first shown in 1961. After research, I have also found that the ‘Pepsi, For Those Who Think Young’ campaign started in 1960.
Have you any production details for this ad? I know all the Pepsi ads were produced by BBDO in New York and that the singer here is Joanie Sommers who sang the Pepsi jingles from 1961 until 1967. I think this might have been her very first – followed by ‘Summer At the Beach’ the same year.
I’m particularly interested in who arranged this ad as it’s completely different to the regular version she recorded with the Mitchel Ayres Orchestra in 1963.
