  1. That article in the Detroit Free Press about Ed McKenzie would have, and perhaps should have, resulted in a slander/libel lawsuit. I can’t believe all those radio people and newspaper writers were that petty and not more charitable in a time of relative civility compared to today, and they said and wrote what amounts to a personal attack, apparently without a filter or editor. No wonder he fled Detroit soon thereafter and returned to Flushing for the rest of his long life.
