I was there. It was my first year in High School. Everybody in their study hall class got to fill out a questioner asking what musical group they wanted to see perform at the school. I don’t remember who I picked not even considering someone as big as The Who would be playing a High School Gym. Anyways it was announced over the P.A. one morning That The Who was the band that would be playing and tickets would be going on sale. So there I was, 3 bucks in hand, buying a ticket to my first rock concert! The evening of the concert, I walked with a group of friends a mile and a half to the school (I had just turned 15 a little over a month before) Had a great time, experienced The Who busting everything up at the end of My Generation, There were other Detroit bands playing that night including the Amboy Dukes… Definitely got my 3 bucks worth and then the group of us, all hyped up from the show, walked back down Lahser Rd home!
