Pssst!! Hi Jimmy! Love you big brother!
🙂
I turned 13 in the summer of 1967. Keener radio was the station we listened to all day and most of the night when I would place my transistor radio underneath my pillow at night so I could listen. I have a memory for each and every one of those songs. What a wonderful time it was. The wonder of everything, the hope that was in front of us, the simplicity of just being. I feel so lucky to have had the chance to experience that time and to have all those wonderful memories growing up. It wasn’t always rosy, but WKNR and our music got us through the rough times.
We moved to Farmington, MI in early August 1967 and I remember many of these songs. I agree it was a magical time and feel fortunate to have been a part of this musical time period. It was critical to my development as a musician and singer, too.
