I lived in Windsor from 1955 to 1957, on Iroquois Street and attended King George School, and watched the Bud Davies Dance Party almost daily. I also attended St George Church and was an Alter Boy assisting Buds father who was the Vicar of St. George’s Church. I often visited their house which was close to the church in Walkervill, and not far from my house.

For whatever reason today l just started thinking about my fond memories of Bud Davies Dance Party . I lived in Windsor and was a frequent visitor/dancer on the show. Saw Pat Boone, Sal Mineo many others and won tickets in a “spotlight dance” to see Elvis Presley at the Olympia .
My Mother remembers the show Dance Party, every day @ 4:00 p.m. Watching Bud Davies was the high light of her day. Not to mention the music that she loved to dance and sing to. Now, the music is passed on to her kids! We all love to sing!

I remember going on the Bud Davies dance show in the 1950’s. I was one of the first black persons to dance on his live TV, I won a prize. I don’t remember what the prize was . Fond memories !. I was living in Southwest Detroit. Loved the trips to Canada. I’m 83 years old now. I wish there was a way that I could see a clip.
I attended Bud Davies Dance Party once in the 50’s. I also belonged to the servers guild at St. George’s Anglican Church Walkerville with rector M.C. Davies and local M.P. at the time. Also father of Bud Davies.
His father was an Anglican priest in Windsor. We attended his church and I took part in one of Bud’s dance party shows back in the 50’s at CKLW.
My brother and I used to go to Windsor for the Dance Party. Back then TV used to televise some of the shows. We had a lot of fun back then.
